ABOUT MARINA'S LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM

Project Details

The City of Marina’s Local Coastal Program (LCP) was certified by the Coastal Commission and adopted by the City of Marina in 1982. Since that time, there have been eight approved and adopted LCP amendments, with the last LCP amendment occurring in 2009. The City is initiating a comprehensive update to the LCP. Key topics the update will address include the following: Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas (ESHA), coastal access and recreation, and land use changes. All new documents will be posted to this page for public review throughout the LCP update process.

The City encourages community members to contribute to the crafting of policies aimed at enhancing accessibility to Marina’s coastline!
