Community Workshop #1
What is a Local Coastal Program?
The City hosted an in person workshop to educate the community about ongoing planning efforts in Marina, including the 2024 Local Coastal Program (LCP) Update. The City had a booth setup with information on the planning process and the State requirements for updating the LCP key vision for Marina.

Community Field Trip
Locke-Paddon Park & Marina State Beach
The City organized a community field trip to educate residents on how the update to Marina’s Local Coastal Program will protect sensitive habitats, vernal ponds, wildlife, and coastal access, while promoting low-impact recreation. Community members who participated visited Locke-Paddon Park and Marina State Beach to explore these natural features and learn more about the project!
